Our team
Baobab will stand on hearts of three boards of directors in making sure that team is fully supported. There will be project coordinator. In the departmental part’s will be social department, education department, environmental department, entrepreneurship department and economic department/finance. This is to make sure that we have strong team with fully support.
Where we work
We work in Tanzania mainland. Nain office being located in Karatu Arusha Tanzania.
Why we are here
Karatu and Ngorongoro is two nearby districts with many native tribes whereby culture is striking rooms for children and as well women in their rights. And big number of street connected children’s, due to low economic situation of families. So, Baobab is working on improving social services, providing home to street connected children and women group micro financing. And supporting sport and games and establishing sport academy for street connected children.
Where we started
Baobab is a non-government dealing with supporting vulnerable children and homeless women originating from Native tribes along Karatu district due to Culture, Custom and Norms. Many children are found roaming in the street because of single parenting, early marriage, early pregnancy, and social abuse. By helping homeless women groups and empowering girls we will be able to reduce big number of children roaming in the street, but also giving chance for street connected children another chance for social interaction, education, and health environment. Baobab is working in close collaboration with government and other partners in assuring that children are getting best chance for support and making their dream come true.
